Learning Resource Center (LRC) was chartered September 1996, and since then, has been providing diagnostic and consultative services, both nationally and internationally, for children of all ages who have a broad range of learning difficulties, developmental disorders and/or behavior problems.

A range of specialists provide services at the LRC including psychologists, behavior therapists, speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, educational specialists, and consulting physicians.

We provide assessments, consultations, specialized therapies, and in-service training for schools and/or parents. We also provide support to families in accepting and dealing with their child's difficulties.

LRC Announces vacancies for the academic year 2006-07

(1) Clinician Positions: LRC employs Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists. Clinical staff responsibilities are evaluating and treating clients, as well as collaborating with other professionals in order to provide an effective program. This includes documenting, working with developmental specialist staff, attending staff meetings, providing and attending in-service training, participating in professional development, mentorship of junior clinicians and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Full-time (30 hours direct client time/40 hours with training, meetings, mentorship time, planning, etc. per week) or part-time (less than 30 hours direct client time per week) hourly positions.

Minimum requirements for clinical positions are a bachelor's degree, two years experience, and appropriate clinical licensure or certification in the clinical discipline.

(2) Specialist Positions: Specialists are responsible for treatment of specific cases as assigned by Head of Dept. Developmental specialists carry out treatment plans, working with the entire interdisciplinary team, under the supervision of the Head of Dept. Other responsibilities include documenting, attending meetings, attending in-service trainings and other duties assigned by the Head of Dept.

Full-time (30 hours+ per week) and part-time (less than 30 hours per week) hourly positions.

Minimum requirements for developmental specialist positions are a bachelor's degree in speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, child development, educational psychology or special education.
